2008 Tunze Streams
Since the
introduction of the Turbelle® stream pump, the realization of currents in reef
aquariums has changed. The pumps have been developed especially for water
circulation in aquariums and set an absolute record in the field of aquarium
pumps with 30,000 l/h (7,925 US gal./h) and an energy consumption of only 64
Watt.
Commercially
available aquarium pumps produce an excessively high flow rate in the core area
of the water jet and a much too low flow in the marginal areas. These
differences will lead to stress on the aquarium inhabitants, in particular on
coral polyps. Whereas it is desirable to generate gentle parallel flow lines in
the aquarium with lower flow rates and without a hard water jet. Like in nature
and to the benefit of the animals, Turbelle® stream pumps meet these
requirements. The electronically controllable models have been fitted with a
Fish Care function when the motor is at a standstill.

The precise water level is ensured by a non-wearing optical sensor
and a transistor switch without any moving parts. This sensor is
insensitive to soiling, light or magnetic fields.
Its “automatic eye” recognizes the water level precisely, even small
waves or level variations will not provide false readings.

An independent safety sensor with a separate power supply circuit and
relay control ensures reliable overflow protection.

An electronic time controller and current limiter for the pump
connected result in a higher operational safety. This unit protects the
metering pump against running dry and reports an empty storage
container.

Turbelle® pumps produce a wide-spread (soft) current.
Wave simulation
The maximum and minimum output as well as the pulse time of the pumps can be set
easily – separately for the two channels in Multi-controller 7095, and for one
channel in Multi-controller 7091.
Food timer (7091 +
7095)
The pumps can be switched off by the push of a button. Automatic restart after 8
to 10 minutes.
Operation in night mode
The output of the pumps is reduced during the night. The photo-electric cell
7094.05 is required .Supplied with Multi-controller 7095. The photo-electric cell has to be ordered separately for
Single controller.
Sequential pump circuit (7095 only)
The pumps are started one after the other, which produces a swelling current.
The switching time can be adjusted.
Tide simulation (7095 only)
The pumps are switched on or off alternately. The switching time can be adjusted
between 1 minute and 12 hours.

Alternative power supply
units for Turbelle® 6101, 6201 and 6301 - safety connector.
Turbelle® stream
6101, 6201 and 6301 are pumps with an electronic motor. They can
be operated on any direct-current source (battery, solar cells)
from 10 V to 24 V. For a safe connection to the pump, we recommend
the Turbelle® Safety Connector 6105.50, which contains a 4 amps
fuse. The safety connector permits normal operation with the TUNZE®
power supply unit, but in case of a power failure it will
automatically switch over to a car battery or a direct-current
source.
